7:00       The ground is broken—The field is no longer fallow—Let us labor with our might with him

Hosea 10:12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

Presiding: Elder Tom Mitchell                     Spoken Word: Elder Jay Havener

Saturday Morning, April 10

7:30       Priesthood Prayer Service                            Presiding: High Priest Paul Gage

9:00        We are prepared for the Lord’s planting and we cannot allow the field to return fallow—What seeds of righteousness are we prepared to sow?

                Presiding: Elder Vim Horn

  • Sermonette – As the First Fruits of Christ, We Must Die to Self to Bring Forth Righteous Fruit

Jacob 3:16-17 Wherefore, beloved brethren, be reconciled unto him, through the atonement of Christ, his only begotten Son. That ye may obtain a resurrection, according to the power of the resurrection which is in Christ, and be presented as the first fruits of Christ, unto God, having faith, and obtained a good hope of glory in him…

Spoken Word: Elder Aaron Smith                      Reflection and Response: Prayer, testimony and sharing

  • Sermonette – As Resurrected Saints, We Must Sow Bountifully

2 Corinthians 9:6–11 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity; for God loveth a cheerful giver.  And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work; (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor; his righteousness remaineth forever. Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) Being enriched in everything to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.

Spoken Word: Elder Jason Anderson               Reflection and Response: Prayer, testimony and sharing

  • Sermonette – As a Resurrected People, We Have Covenanted to Nourish Seeds of Righteousness for the Kingdom

D&C 98:13c-e Therefore, it is my will that my people should claim, and hold claim, upon that which I have appointed unto them, though they should not be permitted to dwell thereon; nevertheless, I do not say they shall not dwell thereon; for inasmuch as they bring forth fruit and works meet for my kingdom, they shall dwell thereon; they shall build, and another shall not inherit it; they shall plant vineyards, and they shall eat the fruit thereof. Even so. Amen.

Spoken Word: Elder Larry Cottrill                      Reflection and Response: Prayer, testimony and sharing

Noon     Break for Lunch (on your own)

Saturday Afternoon

1:30        It is indeed the time for us to seek diligently the Lord's will for the Restoration and to continue to do so until the Lord's righteousness rains down upon us

                Presiding: Elder Brian Mundy

  • Sermonette – The seed of Abraham - a people planted with Christ in his death and resurrected in him

Behold I will reveal unto you the priesthood by the hand of Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of The Lord. And he shall plant in the hearts of the children the promises made to the fathers, and the hearts of the children shall turn to their fathers: If it were not so the whole earth would be wasted at his coming. (Angel Moroni quoting (with variation) Malachi 4:5-6 to Prophet Joseph Smith Jr. Taken from Joseph Smith Tells his Own Story)

Spoken Word: Elder Eric Odida                          Reflection and Response: Prayer, testimony and sharing

  • Sermonette – As new creatures in Christ, bound by our common covenant, we labor together in the Lord’s Vineyard until His righteousness rains down upon us.

Mosiah 11:188 Yea, born of God, changed from their carnal and fallen state, to a state of righteousness, being redeemed of God, becoming his sons and daughters; and thus they become new creatures; and unless they do this, they can in no wise inherit the kingdom of God.

Spoken Word: Elder Shaun Turner                    Reflection and Response: Prayer, testimony and sharing

4:30        Break for Dinner (on your own)

Saturday Evening

7:00        Bringing in the sheaves that the Lord might preserve the fruit unto himself

Jacob 3:147-148 For because ye have been diligent in laboring with me in my vineyard, and have kept my commandments, and have brought unto me again the natural fruit, that my vineyard is no more corrupted, and the bad is cast away, behold, ye shall have joy with me, because of the fruit of my vineyard. For behold, for a long time will I lay up of the fruit of my vineyard unto mine own self, against the season, which speedily cometh…

Presiding: Seventy Richard Neill                 Spoken Word: Elder Steve Kropp
